Privacy Policy

Visitors to a public page
You don't need an account to read an association's page, and we don't track you. There are no analytics or advertising scripts. We count how many times each document is downloaded, per day, with nothing about who downloaded it. If you enter an owner code, a cookie remembers it for your visit, and if a code is wrong we keep your network (IP) address for up to two days to stop guessing.
The documents on a public page are posted by the association or its manager, who decide what's on it. To ask about a document, or about personal information in one, please contact them. We'll help if you can't reach them.
What we collect from customers
- Account details: names and email addresses of the people on your team, and your company name and time zone.
- You sign in with a Longline Labs account. That account service tells us your name, your email address, that the address is verified, and an identifier for your account. Nothing else; we never see its password. The account service is LONGLINE LABS LLC's own, with its own Privacy Policy at account.longlinelabs.com.
- What you upload: associations, documents and their details.
- Billing details, handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Basic technical records, like when emails were sent and whether they bounced.
- Network (IP) addresses of trial sign-ups and wrong owner-code tries, to stop spam sign-ups and code guessing. We delete them after two days.
How we use it
Only to run AboveBoard: showing your pages, the few account emails (invites, trial and billing notices), and billing. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. We don't email owners or anyone outside your team. We don't track whether you open our emails or click their links. We don't read inside your files, and nothing in AboveBoard uses AI.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers: Supabase (database, logins and file storage), Postmark (email delivery), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (our web address), and Proton (our support mailbox). They process data only to provide their services to us.
Cookies
We use only the cookies AboveBoard needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, and on public pages one that remembers an owner code for your visit. Your browser also remembers your light or dark theme choice, on this device only. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, or outside analytics.
How long we keep it
While your account is active. A deleted document's files are removed after 30 days. If a trial or plan ends, we keep the data for 30 days, warn the owner, then permanently delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can update your name in Settings and download a list of your documents at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, or to delete it by writing to support@aboveboarddocs.com. Some states give their residents these rights by law; we honor them for everyone, and we reply within 30 days.
Security
Each company's data is kept separate, connections are encrypted, files sit in private storage and leave only through short-lived links, and owner codes are stored encrypted and shown only to that association's team.
Children
AboveBoard is a business tool. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page and tell account owners before the change takes effect.
